Shawn Marion “I’m A Champion” f/ T-Pain, Dorrough, & Young Cash

So, this seems like a fun idea. A compilation album called Full Court Press, Vol. 1 that will feature rap verses from NBA players like known baller-rappers Iman Shumpert, Stephen Jackson and Lou Williams. Then, according to SLAM, which should be a different version with Willie in instead of Mario Winans. Either way, a good reason to bring up that Carlos Boozer and Twista once made a track together (I didn’t think I’d miss the Carlos Boozer Era this much…)

Anyway, the first release from this compilation is Shawn Marion linking up with T-Pain, Dorrough, & Young Cash for a song called “I’m A Champion”. Marion’s verse salutes Dallas since he won’t be returning next season and reminds the rest of the league that he was a champion (and curiously, still a free agent). Oh, and this fun play on his nickname:

I’m like Neo, welcome to the Matrix

More tracks on deck will be “Welcome to NY” with Iman Shumpert & Ma$e, the aforementioned “Winning Streak” with Twista, Willie Taylor & Carlos Boozer, “Go Hard” featuring Bun B & Stephen Jackson, “We Hoopin’ (Yeah Boy)” with Charlie Villanueva & Royce Da 5’9, and “Airtime” featuring Future, Sean Garrett, Rocko & Lou Williams. Hah! Enjoy.
