You can always count on Chicago producer/DJ Slot-A for some fresh takes of hip hop’s most recognizable songs. Here, he has the soundtrack to your autumn afternoon with Shades & Flavors boasting remixes of the likes of Lupe’s “Next To It”, 50 Cent’s “Get In My Car”, and even R&B flips like Mariah Carey’s “Thirsty” and Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing”. What I appreciate even more about this is how Slot actually creates cohesion between songs that are on other ends of the spectrum.
