Fabolous recalls his first DJ Clue freestyle

Fabolous sits down with Rob Markman of MTV News for an interesting interview appropriately dropped on #FBF Flashback Friday. It’s fitting because Fab recalls his first ever DJ Clue freestyle back in 1998, which Markman likened to getting your video on World Star Hip Hop today.

Fab not only goes through and remembers lines on the freestyle with N.O.R.E. on it as well, but he also shares how he got the name Fabolous in the first place. I’m sure the story’s been out there, but it was new to me. And yes, it’s a pretty shrug your shoulders moment involving DJ Clue. Watch and hear it below and keep it locked for Fab’s Friday night freestyle for the 6th week in a row later tonight.

UPDATE: As expected, scroll below the interview for Fabolous’ take on Mobb Deep’s “Quiet Storm” (no C.J. Watson.)
