QuESt Leaves VMG x “Decades”

Huge news today from QuESt. Along with a new release, QuESt shares with us that he and Visionary Music Group have officially parted ways (more on that below). Stream the Thelonious Martin produced, “Decades” below, and peep my version of the cover art under the soundcloud stream. Word to Complex on the premiere. #WiseUp

Visionary Music Group has always been a label I have admired & still do admire to this day. My time with them has been amazing, & I have learned a great deal that will always remain with me no matter where I go. However, as life progresses, so does your growth as a person.
With that being said, I am no longer a part of Visionary Music Group. I have made a decision to move forward without them, & focus on myself & my brand. There are absolutely no ill feelings towards anyone over there. I love them all & cherish everything that they have done for me. This is a decision I have made in order for me to continue growing as an artist & as a brand the way I see fit.

To my supporters, understand that I love you, & this is truly just the beginning. There is much more in store. Thank you for rocking with me this far. I hope you can all continue this ride that we are on, because I don’t intend on stopping anytime soon. And if you feel that this is your stop, & you need to get off this train, then thank you for coming along for the ride. You are appreciated.

WiseUp. Sincerely,

– QuESt

Dom Lumero “Moon (Headlights)”

“Moon” marks Dom Lumero‘s third official release. I’d hope that by now you’ve streamed at least one of his drops. If not, you need to wake your ass up. Dom is unbelievably underrated. He’s extremely talented lyrically and is flying under the radar of these other blogs. Yes it’s only his third release, but in my opinion the kid is so good you should of been in tune since the first one. That means nows the time to get on it.

The cover art for moon was a combination of ideas between Dom and yours truly. When designing this cover I combined the feel of the song with an image that relates to the theme of the song. The background image of the cover you’ll notice is a building which resembles the Adler Planetarium in downtown, Chicago. I chose to go with the AP building for a background image not only because it fits the “Moon” theme, but also because Dom is connected to the city. The moon in the upper right hand corner was just one of many images I collected and combined with another.
