Rich Homie Quan & Drake “Tell Me Why”

A new Drake verse kicks off this cut from Rich Homie Quan that the latter has been teasing lately. Though the verse from Drake leaked unofficially recently, it has its proper home here on an overall melodic track. Actually pretty solid from beginning to end as “Tell Me Why” is slated for Rich Gang 2.

If more Rich Homie is needed in your life, check out his “Blah Blah Blah (Remix)” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Fabolous & Dej Loaf and more of the Rich Gang 2 leak beneath that.

Detroit vs. Everybody (Official Remix)

Damn near everyone from the D is on this one!

16 minutes of tight rhymes from some names you know and names you don’t. Given the strength of this production, I’m game for all of it as Trick Trick and Dej Loaf put down their own verses and the rest of the list features: Guilty Simpson, Black Milk, Sino, Marv Won, Payroll, Hydro, Big Gov, Boldy James, Kid Vishis, Big Herk, Icewear Vezzo, Detroit Che, Calicoe, and Diezel. Eminem just released it himself.

No Obie though? He had to put out his own remix? *shrugs*

Dej Loaf, SAYITAINTTONE & Oba Rowland “Detroit Vs. Everybody Freestyle”

At the end of “Detroit vs. Everybody”, Trick-Trick called for Eminem to deliver the beat so he could let the D-Town homies do their thing on it too. Well, the first wave of that comes from Dej Loaf, who provides her own verse in addition to the hook from the original, SAYITAINTTONE and Oba Rowland for this new freestyle version below.

UPDATE: With the music video too.

Detroit “Detroit vs. Everybody”

Pretty self explanatory. Detroit stand up!

Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf & Trick Trick all rep for their city over a lethal production that brings me back to Eminem’s golden era of hard tracks in the mid 2000s. Statik Selektah is responsible for said production and captured that era well.

Naturally too, all the emcees come with a vengeance and hip hop should applaud. Even though it clocks in at over 6 minutes, I was hoping for a Trick Trick verse. And I can’t help but think that if Proof were still alive, he’d destroy this beat too.

Final thought: I hope “Detroit vs. Everybody” inspires more mega-city collabs and my hometown bias is froveling at that (also self explanatory) possibility.
