Penny Hardaway returns home

A little late #TBT for ya guys with this timeless E:60 documentary segment on one of the most beloved 90s NBA superstars: Penny Hardaway.

This aired around this time last year but I saw it today for the first time when a friend sent it over who, knowing him I know resonated with Penny’s loyalty to a friend and loyalty to home. Given his suggestion and that Penny was one of my favorite non-Bulls growing up, I had an immediate framework of intrigue so I pressed play right away.

As the story was told and developed, I was torn as I felt the emotions (both tough and joyful) and at the end of it, I only appreciate Penny Hardaway even more. It’s a touching watch so definitely carve out the time for it and find out the story for yourself up above! (Best told if you just watch and I leave it at that.)

Kevin Hart, Fabolous, & Nelly on First Take

Today’s NBA themed First Take took place at All-Star Weekend and a trio of guests came thru the debate desk. Kevin Hart is back and it’s always a good time. He has some real nice burns on Stephen A. so watch above and below for that.

Fab and Nelly also came through and offered some serious insight on the NBA. This was one episode I went out of my way to tune into live so with that said, press play ICYMI.

J. Cole & Dale Earnhardt Jr. cover ESPN

J. Cole with the big ESPN pub as he and the most famous race car driver today, Dale Earnhardt Jr., cover the annual Music Issue. I love when ESPN does this and crosses over athletes and musicians and they’re all usually on point (remember Kobe & Minaj last year?)

Below is video of Dale Jr. and his fandom for J. Cole.

Nicki Minaj on SportsCenter

Did anyone else keep SportsCenter on last night to see some Swaggy P post-game interviews and be rewarded with not only that, but also Nicki Minaj?

Yeah, Nicki joined Kenny Mayne last night to talk some football, her crush on Allen Iverson, and continue the promo for The Pinkprint. She officially debuted “Win Again” on the show, probably her most fitting song off the album for sports. Watch below, ICYMI.
