Kanye West, along with his DONDA associate and most recently #BeenTrill# designer (+ architect) Virgil Abloh, gave Harvard design grad students a treat today by giving an empowering speech about the possibilities and power of design. We’re only able to get a sense of it via the video here (UPDATE: PLUS, below), but I did take out a few quotes from it below.
But I just wanted to tell you guys: I really do believe that the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be “architected.” And this is the reason why even some of the first DONDA employees were architects that started designing t-shirts instead of buildings. But just to see the work actually be actualized.

As an architecture undergraduate myself, I can only appreciate this even more having the first-hand experience of seeing design and creativity come to fruition. I can’t help but nod my head to what Kanye says here and only wish to hear more from ‘Ye & Virgil on this topic.
