The “mega-bestselling smut epic“, describes Grantland, 50 Shades of Grey is being made into a movie and while I’m not surprised, this is news to me. The first trailer for the flick was released today and it was during my daily visit to Grantland that I discovered not only this news, but the familiar lines of Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” in the trailer. About a third of the way in, I realized, hey, this is actually a really cool remix that has this emo/creepy mood perfect for whatever I’m watching right now. The trailer gets intense, especially as, Rembert says in that Grantland link, “It went from sexy thriller to “What’s Your Fantasy” by Ludacris in 10 seconds.” Yup, perfect.
The trailer reveals that this new version of “Crazy In Love” is recorded exclusively for the film by Beyonce. So alas, it’s official and this is your first listen below. Also, I didn’t realize this at first, but 50 Shades of Grey comes out Valentine’s Day, 2015. We’re already hearing reports of an increase in babies born in November, 2015.
Now to see Bey & Jay in person at Soldier Field tonight? Anyone?
