ESPN’s Highly Questionable has been money with the rap guests all year and this time, Lil Wayne joined Le Batard, Bomani Jones, and Papi out in Miami.
There are no sports opinions from Wayne on the interwebs just yet, but we do get this great outtake of Weezy and Papi rapping HYFR, substituting coughs for swear words. I got a good chuckle outta this. Hope you do too:
Bomani Jones and Dan Le Betard are the new ESPN go-to’s for hip hop stars to pass through and talk sports and other fun topics.
The-Dream, up above, reveals he has a song with Kanye coming out, currently untitled because ‘Ye “comes up with a title eight years from now.” He also talks about his and Lil Wayne’s similar taste in women amongst other things.
Down below, Action Bronson had probably the funniest talk on Highly Questionable as you can probably tell from the thumbnail. Ha! Enjoy.
In an interesting interview with ESPN’s Highly Questionable, Royce Da 5’9″ broke down a few stories that haven’t totally gotten huge pub over the years. As such, much of it was new info for me.
Royce first explained what partying and shooting a music video with Jerry Stackhouse was like back in ’01.
That was just the beginning as Royce then moved on to talk about the “Hi Rihanna!” shoutout that got some buzz in the 2011 BET Cypher and if they had seen each other since.
Then, most touching was the recalling of reconciling with the late Proof after a run-in with each other in Detroit led to an arrest and a night in the slammer. Interesting times back then and it’s good they made amends before Proof’s untimely murder.
Last thing: diggin’ how Bomani Jones, Dan Le Betard (and Pablo Torres filling in), and Papi are getting these hip hop interviews on ESPN. These are never really not fun.
