Ghostface Killah f/ Kool G Rap, AZ & Tre Williams “The Battlefield”

I mentioned at the sight of the tracklist that I was excited for this intro track off 36 Seasons. The mood-setting, storytelling record didn’t disappoint, yet could have even been catchier. Now let’s see how it fits into the context of the rest of Ghostface’s concept album come December 9th.

Ghostface Killah ’36 Seasons’ (Tracklist)

With the Wu’s name certainly going to be poppin’ with A Better Tomorrow less than a month away, Ghostface Killah is also prepping a solo album for release December 9th.

Coolest of all, it’ll be a concept album that will find Ghostfaces as “a Staten Island vigilante inspired by a quest for personal retribution and bent on saving his community from the grips of crooked authority and urban decay.”

Dang, that sounds tight. And that’s a great set up for some magnificent visuals to come with it. Just look at the album cover above for starters. The full tracklist is also below — 14 tracks with features from Pharoahe Monch, Kool G Rap, AZ, and The Revelations to name a few. This intro track with Kool G, AZ, and Tre Williams is one collab I’m looking forward to as well.

One more treat is the single release of the second track “Love Don’t Live Here No More”. Peep below too.

Saigon f/ Memphis Bleek, Lil Bibby & Kool G Rap “Mechanical Animals”

A two-part Saigon post with first, the track. “Mechanical Animals” features a mix of new school and old school with Bleek, Bibby, and Kool G assisting Sai on a gritty rap collab below. Somethin worth a listen for sure, though I did enjoy some of the other Greatest Story Never Told 3 previews a lil more.

Now the news on Saigon’s album… at the bottom of the month, GSNT3 will see release at the bottom of the month and given the release of the artwork and tracklist below today, I don’t think we’ll see anymore pushbacks. I didn’t have to look far to see the one track I’m really anticipating — the Just Blaze featured “Back To Reality”, which I hope has a familiar sample. We shall see September 30th.
