NBA All-Star 2015 Performances

ICYMI, and/or if you switched from the All-Star Game during the performances to catch SNL 40, here were the musical NBA All-Star 2015 Performances during tonite’s all-star game.

Nas was a surprise guest for Christina Aguilera’s starting lineup introduction (guess what he performed in his home city) and Nicki Minaj was Ariana Grande’s surprise guest at halftime. Watch ’em both below.

If you guessed “N.Y. State of Mind”, you read Nas’ mind. The song was made a lil over 20 years ago and today he performed it for the All-Star Game in Madison Square Garden. Pretty special, huh?

Beastie Boys & Nas “Too Many Rappers”

Unreleased Beastie Boys video? Yeah, you read that right. The Roman Coppola directed video for the Nas assisted track “Too Many Rappers” off of the trio’s 2011 project, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, surfaced today and fans couldn’t be happier. The video finds the Beastie Boys and Nas in, what seems to be, good spirits and having fun. The video itself was found by a fan in Ireland and posted on a Beastie Boys message board and was posted on film editor Neil Usatin’s website.

Enjoy what is probably the last video the Beastie Boys made before the passing of MCA. Shouts to Pitchfork for the find!

Nas “The Season” (prod. J. Dilla) (Preview)

Nas & J. Dilla?!

?!?!?!

You’re already pressin’ play below, I know.

The story behind the video: Nas made a surprise appearance to support Run The Jewels on their new release and close out the Q&A. As a treat, he let the people get the first listen of the J. Dilla produced single he recently told Angie Martinez is on the way soon. Props to the person who snuck in a recording because this sounds fire right now. Nas had me with the soliloquy line and then the horns from there. Da dada da da… will surely be stuck in your head now, too. Can’t wait!
