Hey, some new Poo Bear!
Been a fan since the Lupe collabs and now he has his own solo single featuring Tyga and a new music video also starring Justin Bieber, Soulja Boy, and Khalil. You shouldn’t be surprised at the names if you’ve been familiar with some of Poo Bear’s behind the scenes work over the years. Watch/enjoy above.
Justin Bieber?! I know, I know. But “Hard 2 Face Reality” got a look from me because I did a double take on who Biebs was collaborating with: Poo Bear.
This is undoubtedly a huge look for the singer/songwriter who many of us know him from his awesome hooks on Lupe Fiasco‘s earliest albums.
To me, it’s strange to hear Bieber’s soft voice in contrast with the electric voice of Poo Bear, but I think it works on a slow jam that’s more suitable to the latter’s style than Bieber’s. Give it a listen below.
Snoop just keeps on workin’. He just dropped the DJ Drama-hosted That’s My Work 3 and now presents the first visual off it as “Happy Birthday 2” featuring Poo Bear is the appropriate choice. I love that Poo Bear got the nod for the hook (his relationship with Snoop starting with Lupe’s “Hi Definition”) and delivered it with a Nate Dogg style he doesn’t usually do. It’s a good fit (naturally) with Snoop and for the video, Snoop brings out the gorgeous ladies and views for the celebratory vibe.
