Charles Hamilton & Rita Ora on Seth Meyers

Charles Hamilton & Rita Ora are officially everywhere with their nice new single “New York Raining”. Here they are up above with a performance of the song on Late Night with Seth Meyers. I’m realizing that I actually really like Rita Ora on hooks after this one.

Speaking of her, here’s some bonus video of Ora and Action Bronson… with Rosenberg trying to play matchmaker?

Charles Hamilton “New York Raining” (Live Piano)

Charles Hamilton made the Empire finale last night and performed his new single “New York Raining” with Rita Ora. While I can’t find video of it from the show, I did just discover this all-new piano version of just Hamilton and the keys. Very nice and it’s great to hear him back. Catch him amongst the bevy of artists at SXSW this week too.

BONUS: Charles Hamilton talks the Empire cameo + how the collab with Rita Ora came about

Charles Hamilton previews Rita Ora single

Yesterday, news broke of Charles Hamilton’s official return to new music with his new signing to Republic Records. His first single release will be a Rita Ora collab “New York Raining” and at a live performance last night, he played the song for the first time.

The piano base is a pleasant one, Hamilton’s verses sound good so far, and likewise for Rita Ora on the hook. It’s just some fan video so I’m holding out for the studio version that should hit the Empire soundtrack in March. But now I’m holding out with a little more excitement.

Iggy Azalea & Rita Ora on SNL

Tonite’s SNL musical guest: Iggy Azalea.

With her big year behind her and a new re-release album on the way, Reclassified, Iggy gets the mainstream look and performs one of the songs of 2014 “Fancy” before it blends into another of her top 10 collabs, “Black Widow” featuring Rita Ora. This medley is below, with Rita really shining of the 2. I question the lip synching though for Iggy, amirite?

Below, Iggy looks ahead with her brand new single “Beg For It” that debuted yesterday, debuting again in live version with and a host of backup dancers joining her. Between this and Jim Carrey hosting, I tuned into SNL live for once. Enjoy in case you missed.
