Curry One ‘Black & Gold Banner’ release date

This afternoon, UnderArmour announced one more colorway of the #CurryOne hi-tops, and it’s this sleek “Black & Gold Banner” version in the gallery above.

It’s similar to the black colorway Curry rocked in the Finals (below), but this version differs with a darker shade of gold and an all-black bottom — probably my favorite feature of the shoe.

I previously praised the Curry One for its performance, having copped the Away ‘Camo’ version in April as my on-court shoe, so naturally, I suggest this striking colorway. In fact, I may even swing having the extra pair going forward. As you can see, we’ll all have our chance on Wednesday.

Under Armour Curry 2 (First Look)

Steph Curry’s first signature shoe just completed a long list of great colorways, most recently on Father’s Day with the Hornets Teal/Purple inspired by his father Dell’s playing days in Charlotte.

And nevermind that the summer is about to see the release of Curry One Lows, which Wardell himself instagrammed below.

Because above in the gallery is a new leak of the Under Armour Curry 2 ‘DubNation’ colorway. I especially resonate with the blue/yellow layers behind the UA logo and in general with the shoe after my rave review last month on the aesthetics and performance from the Away camo colorway.

If you scroll in the slideshow, I included a couple of other rumored looks at Curry 2, and of all of the things to note, I really hope Steph’s “I Can Do All Things…” is etched into the shoe like you’ll see on the side of the red one.

The Curry 2 won’t likely be officially released until the preseason, but for now we can let our imagination wander with the rumored looks and cop the colorways of the Ones and Lows right now.

Golden State Warriors 2014-15 NBA Champions

Last night, Steph Curry, Finals MVP Andre Iguodala and the Golden State Warriors closed out the NBA season in style by winning the franchise’s first NBA title in 40 years!

The thrilling Finals concluded with a 105-97 win in Cleveland as the Warriors won the series 4-2. As someone who followed this team almost as closely as the hometown Bulls this season, I am very happy for Dub Nation and their long-suffering fanbase to get the ship. I streamed Warriors games on my second monitor and stayed up late on TNT Thursdays because Steph became must-watch TV, but really it was their entire team too. I loved the offense Steve Kerr instilled and how role players like Andrew Bogut, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala played their parts. Klay Thompson’s added firepower and all-star level jump was a great storyline throughout the season too (37 in a quarter, still so crazy.) So all in all, the Warriors became my personal 2nd team, west coast team, what have you… and simply the most fun team in the league this season. Congrats again to a true team and loyal fanbase!

(Only fitting I landed in San Francisco last night, going from one title town to the next! I avoided the craziness downtown, but the SF airport was draped in blue and yellow and KMEL was shouting out the Warriors between classic Tupac songs on his birthday. That’s a great culture experience in itself. I’ll be blogging from the Bay for the next couple weeks so holla at ya boy… or just keep checking the site :))
