Great news for fans of Wu-Tang (i.e. everybody).
Warner Bros. announced the group has signed with them for the release of their hotly anticipated album, A Better Tomorrow. It’s set to drop on December 2nd. Ghostface says it best…
“Wu-Tang Clan is excited to join the Warner family of esteemed artists. After 20 years in the business with different label outlets, we are delighted to be amongst a team of industry professionals who understand our unique artistry and will help spread it to the masses unadulterated,” the group said in a statement. “In the words of Ghostface, when it comes to being signed to Warner Bros., ‘we’re getting Bugs Bunny money.'”
And on the subject of “getting Bugs Bunny money,” the group’s secret, single-edition album, “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin” – which they are auctioning off — is still up for play.

Each Wu-Boombot will be embedded with eight songs from A Better Tomorrow, two unavailable-on-album instrumentals, and an exclusive song, “Big Horn B,” in advance of the full-length release (which RZA says will be out by Black Friday). The product will only be sold by one retailer (Zumiez.com) nationwide; Boombotix execs say they are hoping to create a frenzy around the release equivalent to that of a new, limited-edition sneaker.

Whoa! So, will we see A Better Tomorrow by Black Friday? RZA indicates such, but as much talked about earlier this year, the 1 of 1 album looks like it’ll be the delivery plan… and sold at Zumiez? Hmmph. Well, until then, we still have “Ron O’Neal” to hold us over as more details assuredly shake out this Fall.
As expected, per last night’s debut on the Daily Show, we have the newest record from the Wu-Tang Clan “Ron O’Neil”! The first offering of the upcoming album, A Better Tomorrow, slated for this November.
UPDATE: “Ron O’Neil” is now in CDQ form here. Plus, official video below.
A historic hip hop moment happened tonight… on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart of all places. All 9 living members of Wu-Tang (counting quasi-member Cappadonna, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Raekwon & RZA — that’s right) reunited for the first time all together. They spoke with the great Stewart and then proceeded to premiere a new record off their upcoming reunion album, A Better Tomorrow, dropping this November called “Ron O’Neil”. They also performed “Triumph”. I’m sure your giddy at this point and surfing these Instagram clips below. Stay tuned for an update of official video when it drops.

NY emcee Bodega Bamz drops his latest project with “Sunday Service”. The 16-track project was entirely produced by The Martinez Bros and features the likes of Bonnie B and Wu-Tang’s Raekwon. What makes this project unique is how it effortlessly taps into Latino culture through it’s samples as well as adding a gritty 70’s feel to the project, which not many artists and emcees have been able to capture.
