Another fresh Mickey Factz feature for the new year… and no, it’s not a remix of Drake’s “Trophies”.
The song bears the same name but a boom bap sound, amplified by scratches from DJ Centrifik on the hook. Both newcomer Evolve (from Texas) and Mickey himself drop some memorable lines in their verses (note the :50 second mark and the 1:53 mark, respectively). Evolve actually concludes it with a quick set of bars before more scratches take it home for good. All in all, it’s one to rock with in a rap rotation that already features old 90s hip hop. Add it there for a fresh twist.
