More Kanye @ Bonnaroo tidbits as this one comes from James Blake, who revealed in this interview with Billboard that he’s working on the follow-up album to his well-received 2013 Overgrown with none other than Kanye West, Justin Vernon, and a third collaborator he is keeping a surprise. I’m signing up for this Kanye x James Blake collab though as I vibe with the latter’s style and it should be something different too for West.

Well, if you’re James Blake, it’s remaking Kendrick Lamar‘s “m.a.a.d. City”. He did this “Harmonimix” while on an airplane, scratching Kendrick’s hook vocals with a dominant organ melody, amongst other things. This would have been better with Kendrick’s actual rhymes, but this organ melody is catchy and should be added to basketball arena music. Listen below.
